outdoor activities, cape town

Hi everyone,

Today, we are taking you around Cape Town to discover our favourite outdoor activities.

Our upcoming City Guide, available for purchase at the end of June, will include a fuller and more comprehensive list of our favourite spots, but for now, here is a shortened list!

Hikes

Cape Town is renowned for its strenuous but worthwhile hikes!

Lion's Head (quite easy and quick) and Table Mountain (pretty brutal and long) are obviously the most famous and a must when visiting Cape Town. Your effort will undoubtedly be rewarded on top with amazing views of the city and rich fauna.

If you do not wish to climb Table Mountain, rest assured that a cable car will take you up and down through the day. Be mindful to check the weather and the schedule ahead of time on the official website

Yoga& Pilates

The Yoga Sanctuary is our favourite studio in town. It is a small, quaint, beautiful yoga studio where caring, compassionate, qualified teachers teach Hata and Vinyasa morning and evening classes. Expect a more "spiritual" and inward approach to Mandisa's classes, which are our personal favourites.

Basi Pilates Academy (Living Life Pilates) is our go-to for all things pilates in Cape Town. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or want to give it a try, the lovely teachers at Basi, an international training centre, will help you. 1:1, duo, and trio classes are proposed, so all focus is invested in the student. We cannot recommend it enough; it is our favourite place to work out in Cape Town. Plus, the view is to die for! It makes every part of the workout worth it!

Padel& Tennis

Padel is one of the most famous sports played in South Africa, and you definitely have to give it a try while there! We recommend Africa Padel, located in Green Point, right next to the Green Point Tennis Club, if you are also keen on playing with a partner or training with a coach.

Golf

We recommend the Stellenbosch Golf Club and the Metropolitan Golf Club in Cape Town, right next to beautiful Green Point Park.
