moving from home

By this point in September, holidays seem like a distant dream, and we are back to work and our routines. Some of us are happy to return to what's familiar, and some dread returning to reality. Either way, I'd love for you to shake things maybe up and try something new to add to your wellness routine. This article provides the breath of fresh air you may be craving to get you through the end of the year! Here is a round-up of our favourite online movement studios and why we love them.

The Studio Paris

for all things barre and ballet workouts

Julie Granger, a former ballerina and certified trainer, created her own methods (Brooklyn Barre, Ballerina Body Training and Brooklyn Flow) blending ballet and fitness. Her classes are diverse (yoga, Pilates, barre), offering a wide range of content and length of classes, so you should find something to your liking. The cueing is perfect and precise, ensuring you maximise your workout without injuring yourself.

She adds a New York flair to her workouts and graceful and elegant movements derived from her dance background. What we love most is her upbeat personality, which will motivate you to push through the workout.

Last but not least, she offers seasonal challenges during which Julie interacts with her community daily to motivate the troops, reminding us how important it is to find even 5 minutes to take care of us daily.

Get ready to sweat, tone, and lengthen your body while still (somehow) smiling!

Pilates by Bryony

for classical Pilates, slow and controlled movement

Pilates is our favourite type of movement because of its precision and holistic approach to the body. Pilates by Bryony embodies these values and offers much more than just a Pilates class. It is truly a vibe that blends mindfulness, elegance and aesthetics.

What we love most about it is Bryony's calm and steady presence while still feeling the burn.

On her platform, you will also find meditations and delicious recipes.

There is also a beautiful community around the studio, which we greatly enjoy.

B the Method

for proper alignment and knowledge of the body

Lia Bartha's method is the best for proper Pilates form and alignment. We find it highly effective and original as she strays away from classical Pilates. Lia's cues will teach you much about muscles and physiology, ensuring the right muscles are engaged. The mind-to-muscles connection is at the core of her method. She offers cardio classes, lengthening series, and some include weighted balls or the standard pilates ball as well as dumbells. We love the twice-a-week live workouts in which she answers her community's questions.
